Red House Live Kicks Off w/Dean Magraw, Butch Thompson and Prudence Johnson!

Join us this Friday, September 16th as Dean Magraw kicks off Red House Live from the Landmark along with Butch Thompson and Prudence Johnson! Having first collaborated on Peter Ostroushko's 1990 album Buddies of Swing, this show features these three all-star veterans of Red House and A Prairie Home Companion back together again! The event is preceded by a cocktail hour at 7:00 pm with music beginning at 8:00 pm.

One of the most versatile guitarists on the scene, Dean's performances mix humor and genre-bending style that proves he is a true virtuoso of the instrument. Magraw released five albums on Red House, including collaborations with Peter Ostroushko, Eric Gravatt, and Marcus Wise. Vocalist Prudence Johnson, who recorded three Red House albums is a chanteuse who has performed all around the globe, her latest recordings celebrate the music of the Gershwins and Hoagy Carmichael. Butch Thompson is a world-renowned jazz and ragtime pianist with a career spanning more than 45 years. Among his many recordings is 2012's Vicksburg Blues on Red House, a collaboration with acclaimed guitarist Pat Donohue.
