Actual Wolf stopped by The Current studios before his vinyl release show for Faded Days earlier in September to talk about the inspriation behind the record and some of his influences. They rip through a set of "Baby Please (American Hips)," "Baby Please" and the hazy, end-of-summer title track.
Earlier this summer we release Faded Days, the label debut from Minnesota grown, Oakland-based singer-songwriter Actual Wolf digitally and on limited edition cassette. In order to hold on to the fading days of summer, we pressed a limited run of Faded Days on vinyl that is now available!
Actual Wolf celebrates the release of Faded Days on vinyl on September 15th at the Turf Club along with Kid Dakota and Dosh. Earlier this summer, crowds packed the Turf Club as Actual Wolf released his Red House debut, Faded Days digitally and on cassette. Now you will be able to be among the first to get this hazy, 70s-era cosmic country and rock album on wax.
Actual Wolf, aka Eric Pollard, has released his Red House debut, Faded Days. It's a mix of '70s era Neil Young, mixed with Springsteen and The War on Drugs. We've definitely stretched our boundaries on "folk" music, but this one is well worth it.
Actual Wolf signs with Red House and Glide Magazine unveiled the first track off his forthcoming album Faded Days. The album will be release digitally and on limited edition cassette on June 2nd with an LP release coming this fall.
