Submission Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in the Compass Records Group.
We pride ourselves on our roster of folk, bluegrass, Americana, adult alternative and Celtic music artists.
So that we can give your music the attention it deserves, we ask that you please adhere to the following guidelines: (NOTE: We do not accept submissions of hiphop, rap, hard rock, or commercial country. We also do not accept songs or compositions for consideration by or solicitation to our artists.)
Established artists:
If you have a meaningful Soundscan sales history and are actively touring, please send an email to submissions@compassrecords.com describing your current project and goals. You or your representative may also call us at (615) 320‐7672 but it will be most helpful to have a written proposal in advance.
Developing artists:
1) Please send an email to submissions@compassrecords.com with a link to your website, (or other site or social media service) so that we can listen to a few of your tracks, review your bio and photos and check out your upcoming tour dates.
(Sending in a CD and printed material will significantly slow down the review process and is an unnecessary use of natural resources.)
2) In the body of the email, please tell us about your music and why our label would be the right one for you, and why you would be good for us.
3) Please attach the last 2 years of touring history to the email. Please note that due to the large amounts of submissions we receive, as well as our ongoing commitment to our current roster, we will only be able to respond to those artists with whom we wish to work.
