Our hearts are heavy as we learned of the passing of Jimmy LaFave. He was one of the torch bearers of Woody Guthrie's music, a masterful interpreter of Dylan, a songwriter and singer who could just as easily get the crowd rockin' as he could silence them with his soulful crooning. There are few people in the world like Jimmy and if you were fortunate enought to meet him, you felt that all was right with the world. He inspired countless musicians and songwriters and has played alongside many of them. A gracious man and a kind human being, the music world lost a shining soul on Sunday. Jimmy will be missed.
We had the honor of working with Jimmy on two records, Blue Nightfall and Cimarron Manifesto, two albums that consistently considered a couple of our favorites we have put released.
